FAQs

Q.         What do I need to become a member and start using the boats?

A.         To become a member you will need to have a signed Easy Boating contract, pay the required startup fees, and receive an instructor's checkout.

          Q.         What is an instructor's checkout?

A.         As instructor's checkout is the final authorization given by one of our instructors after making  sure you have the required skills to operate our boats and navigate safely.

Q.         Is there any cost involved in addition to what is posted on the Rates and
            Membership page?

A.         No. There is no other cost involved.

          Q.         After the contract expires, is there any cost involved for renewing?

A.         No, there is not cost involved.  The contract renews automatically and simply continue paying your monthly plan until the new contract expires.

 Q.         What is the availability of boats during the weekends?

A.         Availability is high because of two different factors. The first one is that we do not  allow one-time rentals.  The second is that our members, who travel  very often, adhere to their plans leaving plenty of boating time for others.

Q.         Am I assigned to just one particular boat?

A.         No. Each member is entitled to use any boat on the fleet.

          Q.         How far from the shore can the boats operate?

          A.         Within 15 nautical miles from shore.

          Q.         Can the boats be used for fishing?

A.         Yes, as long as you hold a valid fishing license which is required by the State of Florida.

          Q.         How much in advance can you reserve a boat?

          A.         2 weeks in advance.

          Q.         Who should I leave the boat with when I return at night?

A.         Upon return to the marina, you should contact the marina operator on duty.

          Q.         Who is responsible for fueling?

A.         Easy Boating is responsible for fueling. You will then be billed for fuel expenses based on an  engine hour meter.

Q.         Is there a minimum of hours to rent?
